My name is Kiran Kamlesh Bhaskar, I am 27 years old. I am 12th failed. I stay at Pandhara bodi, Nagpur. I live in a joint family of 8 persons including me my husband and 2 children. My husband works as a painter & earns 4500/- monthly. It is unable to manage a family of 8 in his income. Children too have their future, in such situation I was also trying to help my husband with some income of mine but didn’t know how.
Meanwhile a social worker from AROHA came to our home and gave information about the organization how they help poor ladies to be self independent by learning and earning different courses they offer, like stitching Ari Jardosi . The program was supported by L&T Charitable Trust which provided scholarships to poor and needy ladies.
At a very minimum fees I got a chance to learn the tailoring course of 3 months, and I decided to join the organization with my families permission and started the Basic tailoring course.
While training at centre we got basic cloth , needles, threads etc from the sanstha. We got a full-fledged training from a well equipped and expert trainers. Here we were tought different types of blouses and dresses with time to time reminders of finishing. Here we were also guided how to earn more by our work and finishing. We were told how to work properly and earn more.
After completing the course I joined a boutique for 3 hrs daily basis where I used to get 2000/- to 2500/-. While working there I learnt more and my quality of stitching was improved. I am now happy that I can help my family with some share of my income and be self independent. Now my children can also start their education and I feel proud.
I am very much thankful to AROHA & L&T Charitable trust for their faith and support to poor and needy ladies.
